Brooke's Birthday! (oh, and Trent too)

On Thursday we celebrated Brooke's 1st birthday! She was so cheerful all day long and loved all of the attention she received. I felt a tiny bit guilty for not making a bigger deal of the occasion, but it was nice to have a low key family party.

We got dressed up to run errands and visit daddy at work.

That made for 2 very happy kids.

Inhaling her cupcake. By the end she had it in her hair, down her shirt, even in her ears. She paused every so often to verbalize her contentment with a hearty "mmmm."

After a bath she opened some presents. This busy ball popper was a favorite.
Ty had a very difficult time letting her play with her new toys first. Especially this one.
She also received 3 new babies, all very cute and very different.
This one is from Grammy Blake. She loves to feed her new baby.

We had a dinner party with my family the Sunday between the two birthdays. I can't get over the expression on her face in this picture. It looks like she is so overcome with emotion that she can't believe someone would think to buy her a baby doll.

Last Thursday (12th) was Trent's birthday. This birthday boy tried to keep the lid on any festivities. But here he is enjoying a fairly inappropriate card from my sisters family. He turned 29 this year. Boy do I feel old.
