What's the Word?

Ty has had an exciting week! He had a great session of speech therapy yesterday and we have distinguished 3 more words in his vocabulary! His latest additions are ooce (juice), waw (water) and dow (down). He is also signing "sorry" now and attempts a weak hissing noise while he makes the sign.

For record keeping sake, here are a list of his current words: dada, mo (more), peese (please), bilk (milk), ah-done (all done), oohn (open), bahbee (baby), ish (fish), daw (d0g), awpane (airplane), bah (bye), i-dar (right there) and possibly a few others I can't recall right now. We have heard a few other words randomly, but not consistent enought to be counted. He can also sign please, more, drink, milk, all done, popcorn and now sorry. In speech he has been able to point out colors with great accuracy, most animals and he plays matching games really well. He is also mimicking much better, especially transportation sounds (a car vrooming, airplane soaring, etc...) and some animals. It has been so much fun to watch him make progress, even if he is still 6-8 months behind. We know he is a smart cookie and he just gets overwhelmed with communication.

Tuesday night Ty and I rode the light rail for the first time (Trent had already been) to go to a Diamondbacks game for FHE. Ty said weeeee every time the rail started moving again.
And a little news flash on Brooke. She finally slept through the night last night! She has been waking up several times the last week but has not wanted to eat or needed a diaper change. With a little experimenting, we discovered that she prefers to be in a very cold room. Between the already cool temp outside and putting the ceiling fan on high, she slumbered peacefully all night. She is turning out to be a very particular little girl - can't wait for the AC bill this summer.
She has also started eating rice cereal and loves it. She likes to be involved in the feeding process with her own hands so every feeding time is very messy and sticky. But isn't she cute?
Now I'm off to enjoy the last few minutes of quiet before the house stirs again.

Yeah for Ty! I think it would be fun to take a little light rail trip. We'll see how long it takes before I actually do it.

Brooke's little cheeks look like they are chubbying up. How cute.
