Ty's party was tailored to his favorite thing...playing outside!
And watching him annihilate his cupcakes was even more entertaining than his 1st birthday.
Two years have flown by! At 33 lbs and 3 ft tall, Ty has changed so much in the last two years. While this last year has brought lots of challenges for him, we are so thankful to have him in our family. Here are a few of our favorite things about Ty:
He dances like he's performing a show tune.
Think jazz hands.
(We need to get this on video.)
He's a cuddlebug.
He's got more energy that 10 kids combined.
He loves music.
Though typically indifferent to his sister, if she fusses long enough he tries to comfort her.
When he talks, currently still in his own language, he gesticulates to emphasize his point...whatever it may be.
He'll come grab our hand to take us where he wants us to be.
If we suggest something he likes (going outside, favorite foods, etc...) he responds with a sing song Oooooh, and his big blue eyes get even bigger.
This kid has challenged many preconceived notions I had about parenting (good and bad), and both his triumphs and challenges thus far have only made me a better person. I am so lucky to be his mommy...and anxiously awaiting the day he calls me by name!
