Christmas Eve

After a delicious feast, the Anderson grandkids reenacted the Nativity as it was read by Grandpa, Uncle Rich, and Trent. Ty, who so willingly played a snoring baby Jesus last year, refused to dress as a shepherd. But he did sit and listen to the story. This has been our favorite Christmas so far because the children understand that something is different - special - this time of year. Although they were definitely more aware of Santa this year, they were also very aware of the Christ child as well. I would often find them playing with the nativities and naming the characters in the scene. I love Christmas Eve even more than Christmas morning because of the reverence we show, and am thankful for the birth and life of my Savior.

After we finished the reading, we exchanged gifts with one another, stuffed ourselves with Christmas treats, and played games.
These cute pj's were made by my mom, and my sister's gift of Woody just about trumped everything else he received this year. Christmas morning, when we asked Ty if he wanted to see what Santa brought he responded, "Santa bring Woody." He was pretty content without even seeing Santa's offerings or opening gifts from mom and dad.
This picture is actually from Christmas morning, but I wanted to show off Brooke's cute jammies from Grandma Anderson.
